Description
The brown midrib characteristic of Silo 700D BMR Forage Sorghum increases digestibility of the stem fibers by reducing the quantity of indigestible lignin. Lignin content is reduced approximately 40-60% depending upon environmental conditions. This reduction in lignin increases sugar content and softens stems making Silo 700D BMR Forage Sorghum more digestible.
Planting Conditions:
- Plant 6-8 lbs per acre mid-May through July
- Plan when soil temperatures reach a consistent 65 degrees
